Who We Are

Sumato Coffee was born from a universal workplace struggle: bad office coffee.

Tired of choking down stale, uninspired brews in Salt Lake City, founder Ben Martinez saw an opportunity to disrupt the grind. Based in the mountains of Utah, our crew of specialty coffee roasters and bean geeks turned frustration into fuel.

Now, we're on a mission to deliver the freshest, most transparent coffee experience to workplaces and homes across America—because mediocre coffee should never be part of your job description.

Fresh is an understatement

I ordered this because I couldn’t commit to one flavor for my first purchase. I was sent five bags of freshly roasted beans and 2 weeks later, I’m still working my way through them all and sampling the different flavor profiles. I wish I had a higher tolerance for coffee because whipping up a fresh pour over is the most enjoyable part of my morning and makes me excited to jump out of bed! This stuff is no joke, and Ben is clearly a passionate expert in his craft. I’ll definitely be coming back!
